Stand with Film & TV Workers!

Media Mega-Corporations (AMPTP)

IATSE members are the working-class backbone of the TV programs, films, and streaming content that provide entertainment and comfort to millions around the world.

Now, 60,000 of these behind-the-scenes workers are mobilizing to win a union contract that guarantees basic human necessities like adequate sleep, meal breaks, and living wages from the wealthiest media corporations and studios in the world, and they need your support.

It is incomprehensible that the AMPTP, an ensemble that includes media mega-corporations collectively worth trillions of dollars, claims it cannot provide behind-the-scenes crews with basic human necessities like adequate sleep, meal breaks, and living wages. Worse, management does not appear to even recognize our core issues as problems that exist in the first place.

Will you take two minutes to sign their petition demanding that The Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers and the studios provide equitable treatment for the unsung heroes of the entertainment industry?

We the undersigned demand that The Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP) make a fair deal with IATSE film and television workers by addressing grievous problems including:

1. Excessively unsafe and harmful working hours.
2. Unlivable wages for the lowest-paid crafts.
3. Consistent failure to provide reasonable rest during meal breaks, between workdays, and on weekends.
4. Workers on certain “new media” streaming projects get paid less, even on productions with budgets that rival or exceed those of traditionally released blockbusters.

IATSE workers risked their health and safety all year, working through the pandemic to ensure that your businesses emerged intact. We will not stand silent while you deny them humane working conditions.
