The Nevada State AFL-CIO will hold our 63rd Annual Constitutional Convention on August 27, 28, 29, 2019. The Convention will be held at the Flamingo Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. There will be a $200.00 registration fee per delegate.

The Call-to-Convention and the number of Delegates have been mailed. Detailed instructions regarding the Credentials are on the Call-to-Convention. We are in the process of transitioning to an online registration process and will be implementing some of the changes this year. We are now able to offer the interactive Credential PDF file. You will be able to fill out the Credentials online and print them from your desktop. Complete the RSVP on this page to be directed to the interactive Credential file and the instruction page.

Resolutions

Per Article II, Section 7 of the Nevada State AFL-CIO Constitution, all resolutions shall be prepared in duplicate and in the hands of the Executive Secretary Treasurer at least 30-days prior to the first day of the State Convention.

Award Nominations

As you are aware, each year the Nevada State AFL-CIO awards the Bill Bennett Employer of the Year Award to a management person in Nevada. We also award the Mike O’Callaghan/United Way Teamwork Award. We have tried over the years to select someone who is not an officer of a union but a rank and file member who has done outstanding work for the unions and their communities. Further, we will be awarding a Contractor of the Year Award to a Nevada Contractor.
