Governor Abbott’s private school voucher scheme, House Bill 3 (HB 3) and Senate Bill 2 (HB 2), isn’t just bad for Texas public schools - it’s bad for kids, bad for teachers and school staff, and bad for taxpayers.

Vouchers divert OUR taxpayer dollars from Texas public schools to unaccountable private schools, which would leave our already underfunded public schools with even less funding and resources to serve Texas students. That’s why workers across our state stand firmly opposed to this scheme.
