The Illinois Worker Freedom of Speech Act, SB3649, recently passed the Senate. This important legislation will protect workers when they refuse to attend employer sponsored meetings on religious or political issues. Employees go to work to do their jobs, not to be indoctrinated by their employer’s beliefs – it is time for Illinois law to reflect this.
