The federal budget bill currently being negotiated would be devastating for working people and their families. It contains the largest cuts in history to Medicaid and to SNAP food assistance, as well as cuts to public education, clean energy investments, and worker protections.

Gutting essential services and programs to pay for more tax breaks for billionaires and large corporations is unconscionable.

The budget bill also includes a proposed 10-year moratorium on regulating artificial intelligence—an approach that puts jobs, rights, and safety at risk.

The budget bill is currently in the Senate. After the Senate has made changes to the bill, it will return to Congress for another vote. Ask your representative in Congress to vote NO on any budget bill that fails to protect working people and their families!
