WNY Labor 2024: I'm A UNION Voter!

The Western New York Area Labor Federation, AFL-CIO is gearing up for the 2024 elections by declaring: I'm A UNION Voter! That means we're voting for candidates who support and defend workers' rights, are building an economy that's fair for working families, and will secure pensions and Social Security for generations of retirees to come.

Fill out the form on this page to let us know you'll be a UNION Voter this year, and that you'll help other union members do the same.

Join us as UNION Voters from across WNY—of all political backgrounds—work together to elect pro-union candidates at the local, state, and federal levels. Here's a sneak peek at some of our plans for the fall:

  • Union Voter Registration (Tuesdays in September) - Did you know there are thousands of unregistered union members between 18 and 40 in WNY? We're helping them get off the sidelines before it's too late!
  • Swing State Solidarity (Thursday Phone Banks) - We owe it to our union brothers and sisters in Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Georgia, and other states who are fighting for pro-union majorities like we enjoy here in New York.
  • Democracy Walks (Saturdays 9/14 - 11/2) - Lace up your sneakers and go door-to-door with others who have declared "I'm A UNION Voter!" Our best chance at success this election is to meet our neighbors face-to-face and show them what we're fighting for (and which candidates are fighting with us)!
  • Down-Ballot Days (Tuesdays in October) - As much as we're going to hear about the presidential race, we have major races for NYS Assembly and other local candidates that need just as much focus.
  • Get Out the (Early) Vote (10/26 - 11/3) - No slowing down. We have the opportunity to turn every phone called and door knocked into a vote!
  • Equal Rights Amendment - The NYS AFL-CIO has endorsed the Equal Rights Amendment, which adds important protections based on ethnicity, national origin, age, disability, and sex including sexual orientation, gender identity, and reproductive health and autonomy to the existing protected classes of race, color, creed and religion in the NYS Constitution.

We know everything is at stake for our members and their families. By Election Day, November 5th, we're going to proudly know we did everything possible to be the change we want to see in our communities and in our country.
