STOP HB 1951: An Attack on Texas Construction Workers

The Texas House State Affairs Committee could vote out House Bill 1951 (HB 1951) as early as this week. We need your help – call your Texas Representatives to tell them that you stand with Texas construction workers and support common-sense Project Labor Agreements!

HB 1951, and its companion Senate Bill 925 (SB 925), would prevent local governments from using Project Labor Agreements (PLAs) — an agreement that outlines the rules of the road, including terms of employment, for a specific construction project.

Removing this tool from publicly-funded projects will increase costs and delays, and jeopardize federal funding that is essential to the completion of critical infrastructure projects! Our taxpayer money should go toward the creation of good-paying and safe jobs.

Tell your State Representative to vote NO on HB 1951 and SB 925.
