By Wednesday night, the Senate will vote on the confirmation of President Biden’s National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) Chair Lauren McFerran.

If McFerran is confirmed, the NLRB will maintain a pro-worker majority at least through August 2026. To protect workers’ right to organize and collectively bargain, it is critical for McFerran to be confirmed.

• McFerran is a public servant with decades of experience as a labor lawyer.
• So far during her tenure at the NLRB, she has upheld the rights promised by the National Labor Relations Act while treating everyone fairly.
• She has a deep understanding and commitment to the labor law she is charged with administering, and to the agency she chairs.
• Workers are organizing at an increasing rate. Last year, a study found that 60 million Americans wanted to join a union if they could. The NLRB is the sole government agency that enforces most private sector workers’ rights to organize and collectively bargain.
• With workers turning to the NLRB for union elections and the enforcement of our organizing rights in increasing numbers, the agency’s seats need to be filled to tackle this workload.
