The National Defense Authorization Act being voted on in Congress RIGHT NOW has language that both Democrats and Republicans support. This is language that would restore Department of Defense workers’ union rights after Trump ripped them up in the biggest act of union-busting in history.

Rep. Bob Onder is pushing a vote right now to kill this provision, and deny defense workers their right to join a union.

Call your member of Congress RIGHT NOW and urge them to protect defense workers’ right to join a union and vote no on the NDAA (pronounced N-D-A-A) Onder amendment.

Some talking points:

  • Two-thirds of Americans approve of unions.0. Americans across the political spectrum—Democrats, independents and Republicans— strongly support the freedom to have a union on the job.

  • Supporting the defense workers who protect our national security – including the more than 48% of civilian workers who are veterans – should be a no-brainer for Congress.

  • President Trump’s March 27 executive order was the biggest act of union-busting in American history, taking away federal workers’ union rights at agencies like the Department of Defense.

  • The NDAA restores Department of Defense workers’ union rights – but Rep. Bob Onder’s amendment would remove this provision from the bill.

  • If your member of Congress says they stand with workers and veterans, they can prove it today, by voting NO on the NDAA Onder amendment.
