President Trump signed an executive order in March that stripped away the right to collectively bargain from nearly 1 million federal workers.
It was the single biggest act of union-busting in history. And since then, it’s only gotten worse. Trump’s administration has expanded the attack to include more agencies, and has begun implementing his executive orders by canceling the union contracts of 445,000 federal workers at the departments of Agriculture, Health and Human Services, Homeland Security, and Veterans Affairs, as well as at the Environmental Protection Agency.
But workers didn’t give up. We got organized and helped introduce a bipartisan bill in Congress to overturn this executive order, and we’re close to the signatures needed to bring it to the floor for a vote.
