SEIU 200 United Members in Kingston Need Your Help

SEIU 200 United members at the Bank of America facility in Kingston need your help. Although the staff was originally over 300, there are now only 6 SEIU 200 United members who are contracted by Harvard Maintenance to take care of the facility. They are in danger of permanently losing their vacation and benefits because Harvard Maintenance refuses to honor their contract.

Members of SEIU Local 200 United work tirelessly to ensure that the Bank of America facility in Kingston, NY runs efficiently and to the benefit of the community. Although as their new employer you promised these six employees that you would honor their existing contract, it appears that you are now refusing to do so. Some of these workers have been employed at the site for over 20 years and yet you are threatening to take away their vacation and benefits in an instant. Also, by cutting the evening staff's hours to part time, you are enforcing a pay cut and are eliminating their health care benefits.
As a community member, I want my neighbors to be treated fairly and with respect. Although your employees are dedicated to your mission, your unwillingness to acknowledge their rights is detrimental to the well being of our community. We need to make sure that all are able to take care of themselves and their families and hold their heads high as they live and work each day. For these reasons, I strongly urge you to do what is right for the members of SEIU Local 200 United and for our community. Honor their contract so that they are able to perform the best job for you and so that they can be proud of the job they do each day.
