AFSCME Nurses and
Health Care Professionals
Hit Lomita Albertsons
The South Bay AFSCME Nurses and Health Care Professionals visited their adopted Albertsons store in Lomita this week.
Willie Velasco-Vargas, Larry Rick PA-C, Irma Bermudez RN, Teresa Alcala RN, and MaryAnn Martin RN (pictured above) delivered their letter of support for grocery workers to the store manager. They told him if a strike happens, they will not cross the picket line and they will ask the local community to stand with grocery workers.

L.A. Labor Mourns the Loss of

He was younger brother to Cesar Chavez, and helped to build the United Farm Workers from the ground up. “He was Cesar’s brother and best friend.
