Voting Is The Foundation Of Our Democracy

House Bill 934 (the Voter Photo ID Bill) would require voters to show non-expired Pennsylvania or Federally-issued photo ID in order to vote. If passed, voters who lack or can’t get the required ID stand to be disenfranchised.

The bill passed the State Senate, and is now in its 3rd day of debate in the PA House.

If implemented, the bill will affect thousands of senior citizens, people with disabilities, students, and the working poor. Unless those people provide specific forms of identification, their constitutional right to vote could be impeded upon.

The bill would also cost an estimated $11 Million to implement, and there is no evidence that there is fraudulent voting in PA that this kind of law would solve.

HB 934 is irresponsible spending and a government solution to a problem that doesn't exist.
