Help Protect NH Working Families!

Help Protect NH Working Families!
This is a critical moment. New Hampshire's middle-class men and women are
under attack by corporate CEOs and out-of-state special interests.

We're asking you to take an extra minute to write an individual electronic
letter to your New Hampshire Senator because it will have a more powerful
impact on this critical fight than a form letter. It can be brief: even one
or two sentences is OK.

In your letter, tell your Senator to focus on creating jobs and to VOTE "NO"
on H.B. 474, which is an attack on working families.

Here are some talking points that may help you write your letter to your New
Hampshire Senator:

House Bill 474 isn't about rights, and it's not about work. It's about
weakening middle-class families and unions as political payback to the CEOs
who financed the campaigns of some state politicians.

Corporate CEOs spent millions in New Hampshire to elect politicians who
share their agenda.

State representatives should be focusing on creating jobs and ending
outsourcing. But House Bill 474 will drive down wages, decrease safety and
restrict the freedom of workers to join together and stand up to the CEOs.

If working people can't join together in unions, attacks on the middle class
will go unanswered, and it be will harder for all of us to win better wages
and benefits, job security and safer workplaces. Increased patient-loads for
nurses, use of risky contractors for important construction projects and
dangerous cuts to police and firefighting forces are just some of the safety
threats that could result.

This is politics as usual-the same old fight between politicians. Enough is
enough. It's time to create jobs instead of playing politics.  Our
representatives need to vote NO on House Bill 474.
