Simply put, House Bill 474 isn’t about rights, and it’s not about work -- this is about out-of-state special interests trying to weaken middle class families to benefit corporate CEOs.
Corporate CEOs spent more than $1 billion to elect politicians who share their agenda.
Instead of focusing on legislation that would create jobs or reduce outsourcing, House Bill 474 will drive down wages, decrease safety and restrict the freedom of workers.
Without the ability to join together at the workplace, attacks on the middle class will go unanswered, and it will harder for workers to fight for better wages and benefits, job security, and safer work places.
These attacks on unions put our safety at risk. Weaker unions mean increased patient-loads for nurses, use of risky contractors for important construction projects, and dangerous cuts to police and fire.
Unions work for job security, fighting age discrimination and outsourcing.
This is the same old fighting between politicians. Enough is enough. It’s time to create jobs instead of playing politics. Urge the State Houes to vote NO on House Bill 474!
